Home of the Nashoba Valley Olympia Figure Skating Training Center–
Programs in youth and adult figure skating and hockey–
Since
it opened its doors in 1967, Nashoba Valley Olympia has been dedicated to promoting
skating in all its forms–figure skating, hockey, and recreational skating.
Participants have advanced to the highest levels of national and international
competition and into teaching. Our professional staff members, many of whom
hold international credentials, are bolstered by strong parent organizations.
In addition to three ice surfaces, one with seating for 1000+ spectators and one dedicated to figure skating, NVO boasts a dance room for off-ice training in dance and aerobics, a well-equipped exercise room, a snack bar, two well-stocked shops for figure skating or hockey needs, and skate sharpening services for the general skater and, by appointment with Edouard Pliner, for the highly competitive skater.
NVO offers established programs for both children
and adults and sponsors a number of shows and competitions each year. Our newest
program is the training center, where serious figure skaters can arrange for
a highly effective, personalized regimen on a short- or long-term basis. The
rinks are also available for private rentals for birthday parties or group skating.
